Winfield, AL (November 6, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday, November 5, resulting in the death of a northwest Alabama man. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) identified the victim as Christopher Camp, 43, of Brilliant. The wreck took place at approximately 1:05 p.m. on Highway 253, about three miles north of Winfield.
Preliminary reports indicate that Camp’s SUV collided with a concrete truck, leading to the SUV overturning. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Camp to a local hospital in Winfield, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the concrete truck was also taken to the hospital; however, their current condition remains unknown.
