Adair, MO (November 5, 2024) – A significant vehicle collision occurred on November 4, 2024, at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Highway 63, located two miles south of Kirkville. The incident involved a 1996 Ford Ranger and a John Deere 4440 tractor, prompting a response from local emergency services.
Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the Ford Ranger, a 66-year-old male from Kirkville, failed to yield to the tractor. As a result, the Ranger struck the left rear dual of the tractor, causing both vehicles to sustain extensive damage and be declared total losses. Both vehicles were subsequently towed by Lakeside Towing.
The driver of the Ford Ranger sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center by the Adair County Ambulance for medical evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, he was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident. The driver of the tractor, a 69-year-old male from Kirkville, was not reported to have sustained injuries.
