Los Angeles, CA (November 4, 2024)- Early Sunday morning, two LAPD officers were involved in a rollover crash at the intersection of Figueroa St and Rosecrans Ave in South Los Angeles. The incident occurred just before 1:00 AM as the officers were turning eastbound onto Rosecrans Ave when another vehicle struck their patrol car, causing it to overturn.

The two officers sustained  injuries and were transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, they were evaluated and released shortly afterward. The driver of the other vehicle, a minor, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and is now facing charges related to the incident.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the crash to determine all contributing factors.

DUI-Related Crashes in California

Driving under the influence is a significant cause of traffic collisions in California, often resulting in severe injuries and, in some cases, fatalities. The consequences of DUI accidents can be devastating, impacting not only those involved but also their families and communities. California law imposes strict penalties on DUI offenses, especially when they result in injury to others.

For individuals injured in DUI-related accidents, navigating the aftermath can be overwhelming. In addition to medical care and recovery, understanding one’s rights and options for compensation can be essential. Legal guidance can assist victims in managing the claims process and securing the resources needed to recover from their injuries.
