Miami-Dade, FL (November 4, 2024) – A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian in southwest Miami-Dade. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident took place when the driver of a gray Genesis was traveling north on U.S. 1, approaching Southwest 214th Street.
Preliminary reports indicate that a man was attempting to cross U.S. 1 when he was struck by the vehicle. The driver failed to stop and render aid to the injured pedestrian, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital by first responders.
