Mantua, NJ (November 3, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Saturday night, resulting in the deaths of two young men in Gloucester County. The incident took place on State Highway 55 when the vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Gavin Stoner of Glassboro, lost directional control while traveling north.
According to State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan, the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck two trees, and subsequently overturned. Both Stoner and his passenger, 18-year-old Zembalist Lewis, also from Glassboro, were thrown from the Toyota during the collision and suffered fatal injuries.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, both young men were pronounced dead due to the severity of their injuries. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, and authorities are looking into the factors that may have contributed to the loss of control of the vehicle.
