Baltimore, MD (October 31, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday night in West Baltimore, resulting in the death of a juvenile. At approximately 8:57 PM, police responded to reports of a collision in the 1200 block of McCulloh Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two juvenile males who had sustained injuries while riding a moped. The moped was involved in a collision with a Jeep, whose driver fled the scene on foot. A passenger from the Jeep remained at the location and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both juveniles, a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, were transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services. Tragically, the 16-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, while the 17-year-old is currently listed in stable condition.
