Hocking County, OH (October 31, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Carbon Hill Buchtel Road, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. At approximately 3:30 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
According to reports, Brian Campbell, 41, of Nelsonville, was riding his Harley Davidson northbound when he crossed the centerline while navigating a curve. He collided with a southbound 2008 Scion xB driven by Bryan Souders, 32, also from Nelsonville. Following the impact, Campbell’s motorcycle veered off the left side of the road, struck a guardrail, and overturned.
Emergency responders transported Campbell to Hocking Valley Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in this unfortunate incident, which remains under investigation by the authorities.
