Glasgow, KY (October 31, 2024) – A serious motorcycle accident occurred on Wednesday at the intersection of West Main Street and S L Rogers Wells Boulevard, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The Glasgow Police Department responded to the scene following reports of the incident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 17-year-old driver of a Dodge truck attempted to make a left turn from West Main Street onto S L Rogers Wells Boulevard. Unfortunately, the driver failed to see the motorcycle, which was operated by Justin Dicken, traveling eastbound on West Main Street. The collision left Dicken with significant injuries.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and Dicken was initially transported to T J Samson Hospital for treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for further medical care. Fortunately, the truck driver did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
The accident is currently under investigation by Officer Jordan Saltsman, who was supported by Barren/Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department.
