Los Fresnos, TX (October 31, 2024) – A tragic auto-pedestrian accident occurred Thursday morning in Cameron County, resulting in the death of a 92-year-old man. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to the crash site at approximately 6:50 AM in rural Los Fresnos.
According to the investigation, the pedestrian, identified as Gudino Gonzalo, was walking along the southbound lanes of FM 1575 when he was struck by a 2003 white Chevrolet Astrovan, which was also traveling southbound. Unfortunately, Gonzalo died at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
