Christian, MO (October 30, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred on the evening of October 29, 2024, at approximately 5:26 PM on Southbound Highway 160, two miles north of Nixa. The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by 86-year-old Lawrence W. Doran from Ozark, MO, was struck from behind by a 2007 Freightliner M2, operated by 33-year-old Scott R. Hougardy from Conway, MO. The impact resulted in total damage to the Chrysler, while the Freightliner sustained no damage and was driven from the scene. Emergency responders transported Mr. Doran to Cox South Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
