Lenoir City, TN (October 29, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident occurred this morning on Interstate 75 South near the Sugarlimb Road exit, resulting in injuries and significant traffic disruptions. The crash took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. at mile marker 75, leading to the closure of the southbound lanes as emergency responders worked at the scene.
According to the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), the accident involved multiple vehicles, and reports indicated injuries and entrapment of at least one driver. Traffic alerts from TDOT Smartway maps advised motorists that the southbound lanes were reduced to one lane and encouraged drivers to avoid delays by considering alternate routes.

The victim, who sustained significant, life-threatening injuries, was transported by ambulance to UT Medical Center for urgent medical care.
