Las Vegas, NV (October 29, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday evening in the west Las Vegas valley, resulting in the death of a 44-year-old man. At approximately 8:30 p.m., the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of State Route 159 and the west entrance to the Red Rock Resort.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a black 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling eastbound on SR 159 when a pedestrian, identified as Kenyon Bybee, entered the vehicle’s path outside of a marked crosswalk. Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, Bybee was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
