Upon arrival at 8:17 p.m., first responders found both vehicles still on the roadway, indicating a significant impact. Emergency responders from Station 44 reported to the scene shortly after. As the situation unfolded, it became clear that at least one individual sustained injuries requiring immediate medical attention.
By 8:41 p.m., emergency responders from Station 44 requested an air ambulance to transport the injured individual to a medical facility. LifeFlight 4 was dispatched, with an estimated time of arrival at the Butler Memorial Hospital helipad set for 10 minutes later. At 8:51 p.m., the ambulance arrived at the helipad, and LifeFlight 4 took off from the Butler Airport shortly thereafter.
