Stone, MO (October 25, 2024) – A serious vehicle collision occurred on Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:49 p.m. at the intersection of Highway M and Highway K, located three miles south of Clever. The incident involved two vehicles: a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country and a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, resulting in total damage to both vehicles and one reported injury.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident occurred when the driver of the Chrysler Town and Country, identified as 56-year-old Kimberli A. Sanders from Sparta, failed to yield to the Chevrolet Traverse, driven by 33-year-old Caitlynn M. Flood from Billings. This failure to yield resulted in a collision between the two vehicles, causing extensive damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Double Eagle Towing.
Emergency responders arrived promptly to assist those involved in the crash. Kimberli Sanders, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for further evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries for Caitlynn Flood.
