Jefferson, MO (October 25, 2024) – A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Highway W, just east of Lakeview Drive. The incident involved three vehicles: a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, and a 2016 Honda Pilot, resulting in significant damage and injuries.
According to preliminary reports, the driver of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, a 17-year-old male juvenile from Cedar Hill, was traveling northbound on Highway W when he crossed over the solid double yellow center line into the southbound lanes. This reckless maneuver led to a head-on collision with the front of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 70-year-old Jackie W. Honea from House Springs. Following the initial impact, the Chevrolet Silverado rotated and subsequently struck the 2016 Honda Pilot, operated by 27-year-old Aaron A. Kell from St. Louis.
All three vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Northwest Towing. Emergency responders arrived promptly to assess the situation and provide medical assistance. The juvenile driver of the Chevrolet Silverado sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy St. Louis by Eureka Fire Protection. Jackie Honea, the driver of the second Silverado, suffered injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital South by Big River Ambulance District. Fortunately, Kell did not report any injuries.
