Otay Mesa, CA (October 24, 2024) – A tragic pursuit crash occurred on Thursday afternoon on State Route 905, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The incident unfolded shortly after 2:20 p.m. when a pursuit involving U.S. Border Patrol agents ended in a collision on the westbound freeway.
According to reports from law enforcement, a four-door Infiniti G35 was speeding when it collided with a Caltrans truck that was parked on the side of the road. The impact caused the Infiniti to roll over at least once before landing on its roof. The Caltrans truck sustained significant damage and was subsequently towed away from the scene.
There were three occupants in the Infiniti at the time of the crash. Tragically, two of the occupants were killed, with one individual found deceased after being ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. The third occupant was transported to Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest, where they are reported to be in critical condition.
