Hartford, VT (October 23, 2024) – A serious accident occurred on Interstate 91 in Hartford on Monday, resulting in significant injuries to a truck driver. Vermont State Police reported that the two-vehicle crash took place just before 11 a.m. at the Exit-12 off-ramp.
According to investigators, the driver of a box truck was outside of his vehicle for an undetermined reason when another motorist collided with the truck. This impact caused the box truck to strike the driver, leading to serious injuries. Both the box truck and the other vehicle involved, a 2013 Chrysler 300, were totaled in the incident. Fortunately, the driver of the Chrysler sustained only minor injuries.
The injured box truck driver was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. As of now, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Royalton Barracks at 802-234-9933.
