Arcadia, LA (October 22, 2024) – A tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on October 21, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to four passengers. The incident took place around 1:15 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 519 near the intersection with Louisiana Highway 533.
According to Louisiana State Police, the driver, 47-year-old Bryan Bissell of Arcadia, was operating a 2007 Ford pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck veered off the road and crashed into a tree, leading to a catastrophic outcome. Bissell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, including an adult in the front passenger seat and three juveniles in the back seat. All four sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, authorities reported that Bissell and all passengers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
