Evans City, PA (October 21, 2024) – A two-vehicle head-on collision occurred on Sunday evening, October 20, at the intersection of W Main St and Railroad St in Evans City Boro. Emergency responders were alerted to the scene around 6:18 p.m. after receiving multiple calls regarding the accident.
Upon arrival at approximately 6:20 p.m., emergency personnel discovered two vehicles blocking one lane of the roadway. Fortunately, all occupants had exited their vehicles, and two individuals were evaluated by EMS for reported minor injuries.
As the situation developed, one of the responding units was canceled by command at 6:25 p.m., indicating that the scene was being managed effectively. By 6:30 p.m., additional emergency responders arrived to assist. The emergency response team confirmed they were back in service shortly after 6:38 p.m., with all units from Station 22 cleared from the scene by 6:52 p.m.
At 7:02 p.m., it was reported that a utility pole was involved; however, there was no damage to the pole itself, although some damage was noted to the ground around it. The incident was officially terminated around 7:15 p.m.
