Middletown, NJ (October 21, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred on Friday night, October 18, when a 60-year-old man from the Leonardo section of Middletown was struck by a vehicle on Route 36. The collision took place at approximately 8:07 PM on the northbound side of the highway, just north of the entrance to the Navy Operational Support Center Earle.
Authorities reported that the victim was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
