The incident took place around 10:44 p.m. at the intersection of US Route 127 and State Route 705, prompting a response from local deputies and emergency medical services.

According to preliminary investigations, a Freightliner truck hauling yogurt was traveling west on State Route 705 when it failed to yield the right of way to a Peterbilt truck that was heading north on US Route 127, carrying a load of eggs.
