At approximately 12:30 a.m. on October 20, reports indicated that a collision took place on SC 9 near Coon Creek Road, about four miles east of Pageland, South Carolina.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a Ford pickup truck traveling westbound on SC 9 collided with a Toyota sedan that was heading eastbound. The driver of the Toyota sustained fatal injuries from the crash, while the driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
