Scottsburg, IN (October 21, 2024) – A tragic three-vehicle collision occurred on the evening of October 19, resulting in the death of a Scott County woman and severe injuries to two other individuals. The accident took place just west of Scottsburg at the intersection of State Road 56 and South Zion Road around 9:20 p.m.
A Scott County firefighter was the first to arrive at the scene and quickly assessed the situation, reporting a serious accident involving three vehicles, each occupied solely by their drivers. Initial reports indicated that one driver was possibly deceased, while the other two sustained critical injuries.
In response to the incident, Indiana State Police (ISP) troopers and deputies from the Scott County Sheriff’s Department arrived to conduct an investigation.
