Jasper, MO (October 20, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident occurred on October 19, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM on Missouri 66, three miles west of Joplin at the intersection with N Central City Road. The incident involved three vehicles and prompted a response from local emergency services.
Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of a 2005 Ford F150, identified as 60-year-old William J. Hall from Joplin, MO, failed to yield at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with a 2017 Jeep Renegade driven by 21-year-old Shade A. Cole, also from Joplin. The impact caused the Ford F150 to strike a stop sign and then collide with a 2023 Ford Bronco, driven by 59-year-old Robert V. Hutchison from Neosho, MO, who was stopped at the intersection.
The collision resulted in total damage to both the Ford F150 and the Jeep Renegade, which were subsequently towed from the scene by Chuck’s Towing and Rosenberg Towing, respectively. The Ford Bronco sustained moderate damage and was towed by Nixon Towing.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Two occupants, 21-year-old Hannah D. Adams and 52-year-old Ted S. Tyree, both reported moderate injuries but refused treatment at the scene. Fortunately, all drivers involved were utilizing safety devices at the time of the accident.
