Omaha, NE (October 19, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred late Thursday night on John J. Pershing Drive, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old driver. Emergency responders were called to the scene shortly before midnight to assist with the incident.
According to police reports, a Subaru traveling northbound crossed into the center lane and collided with a southbound Nissan. The impact caused the Subaru to roll onto its roof. The two occupants of the Subaru were transported to a local hospital by Omaha Fire Department medics, suffering from minor injuries.
Sadly, the driver of the Subaru, identified as Bae Meh, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, 43-year-old Stephanie Kinnecom from Council Bluffs, is facing charges for driving under the influence (DUI) in connection with the crash.
