Franklin, MO (October 18, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred on October 17, 2024, at approximately 5:18 PM at the intersection of MO-47 and College Road. The Franklin County authorities responded to the scene, where two vehicles were involved in a collision.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 59-year-old Pamela G. Baumgarth from Union, MO, failed to yield while proceeding forward. As a result, the front right of the Impala struck the front of a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, operated by 58-year-old Richard B. Ham from Lone Dell, MO, who was traveling northbound.
Emergency responders from Union Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department arrived promptly to assist at the scene. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed by Hoffmans Towing. Fortunately, all involved were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident.
Barbara J. Seaman, an 81-year-old occupant in the Chevrolet Impala, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Thankfully, her injuries did not require further medical attention.
