New Haven, CT (October 17, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred early Wednesday morning when a bicyclist was struck and killed by a garbage truck in New Haven. The accident took place around 2 a.m. in the vicinity of Church Street and North Frontage Road.
According to police reports, the victim has been identified as a 24-year-old man from New Haven. The garbage truck was stopped in front of Gateway Community College at the time of the incident, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
