Zebulon, NC (October 15, 2024) – A tragic house fire occurred on Monday afternoon, October 14, in the 2500 block of Jack Mitchell Rd, resulting in the death of one individual. Emergency responders from the Hopkins Rural Fire Department were dispatched to the scene following reports of the blaze.
Fire officials confirmed that the fire was extinguished by 3:20 PM. Upon arrival, responders located one victim, who was declared dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as an adult, but authorities have not yet released information regarding the victim’s gender.
