Palmetto, FL (October 15, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on Monday afternoon, claiming the life of a 20-year-old motorcyclist from Palmetto. The incident took place around 4:45 p.m. when a 42-year-old man from Parrish, driving a van, made a turn across the eastbound lanes of State Road 70 onto Manor Hill Lane East. Unfortunately, the van entered the path of an oncoming motorcycle, leading to a collision with the right rear of the van.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly, and the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
