Bakersfield, CA (October 14, 2024) – A tragic vehicle collision occurred early Sunday morning at the intersection of Niles Street and Kern Street, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and critical injuries to a 2-year-old child. According to preliminary investigations, a patrol car was traveling westbound on Niles Street when a northbound vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the patrol car.
