Carter, MO (October 14, 2024) – A serious motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 21, south of Route O, at approximately 7:50 p.m. on October 12. The incident prompted an immediate response from local emergency services, including the Carter County Sheriff’s Department.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident involved a 2024 GMC Terrain and a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle. According to the investigation conducted by CPL T. M. Broyles, the GMC Terrain, driven by 51-year-old Suzanne R. Miller from Prim, Arkansas, was exiting a parking lot when she attempted to turn around and inadvertently pulled into the path of the northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by 26-year-old Jaret D. Trube from Doniphan, MO.
The collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles, with the Harley Davidson being declared a total loss. Both Trube and his passenger, 18-year-old Lillie I. Cora from Grandin, MO, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. Neither individual was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
