St Francois, MO (October 12, 2024) – A serious motorcycle crash occurred on Northbound US 67 at St. Francois State Park at approximately 3:51 PM on October 11, 2024. The incident was investigated by TPR. Z. Ricker from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to the crash report, the accident involved a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2016 Airstream Sprinter. Preliminary findings indicate that the motorcycle, driven by 32-year-old Tyler A. Burger of Imperial, MO, was traveling northbound when it struck the rear of the parked Airstream, which was located in the median crossover.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical assistance. Tyler Burger sustained serious injuries and was transported by Air Evac to St. Louis University Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the Airstream, 88-year-old Joy D. Henthorne from Poplar Bluff, MO, was reported to have minor injuries and was able to drive from the scene.
Both vehicles were affected by the collision, with the Harley Davidson deemed a total loss and towed by Marlers Towing. The Airstream Sprinter sustained minor damage.
