Beaufort County, SC (October 10, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning, October 8, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The crash took place around 11 a.m. along US 17, near Bull Corner Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that two trucks were traveling south on US 17 when they collided with a third truck that was heading north. The first truck collided with the second truck, leading to the death of the driver of the first truck. Fortunately, the driver of the second truck did not sustain any injuries.
Following the initial collision, the first truck then struck the third truck. As a result of the incident, a driver and a passenger from the third truck were transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment of their injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
