Roanoke, TX (October 6, 2024) – A devastating house fire occurred Friday, October 4, resulting in the tragic death of one individual. The fire broke out at approximately 8:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Ashley Lane, prompting a swift response from local fire crews.
According to city officials, fire crews arrived on the scene within five minutes of the alarm, only to find the home fully engulfed in flames. The Roanoke Fire Department, along with assistance from neighboring departments including Keller, Southlake, Trophy Club, and Westlake Fire, immediately began efforts to extinguish the blaze. At the time of their arrival, it was unclear whether anyone was inside the home.
Reports indicate that a 44-year-old man, who resides at the property, was not home during the fire. The Roanoke Fire Department is working in conjunction with the Roanoke Police Victim Assistance team and the Red Cross to provide support for the displaced resident.
Ashley Lane, between Richy Road and Randy Road, remained closed throughout the investigation, which is being conducted by the Roanoke Fire Department and the Tarrant County Fire Investigation Association.
