Ottawa County, MI (October 2, 2024) – A rollover crash involving two vehicles occurred on Tuesday evening in Ottawa County, leading to injuries for both drivers involved. At approximately 5:30 p.m. on October 1, emergency responders, including the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to the intersection of 120th Avenue and Polk Street in Olive Township.
Preliminary investigations indicated that a 62-year-old woman from Zeeland was traveling west on Polk Street when she failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection with 120th Avenue. As a result, she was struck by a 33-year-old woman from Grand Haven who was driving north on 120th Avenue. The impact caused both vehicles to roll over.
Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. The Zeeland woman was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for medical treatment, while the Grand Haven woman was taken to a hospital through private means. At this time, the crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
