Camden, MO (September 27, 2024) – A traffic accident took place earlier today on Route A, approximately 334 feet before Fairview Lane, resulting in serious injuries. The incident was reported at around 10:32 AM, prompting a response from local emergency services.
According to the investigation, a 2000 GMC van, driven by 71-year-old John W. Evans of Waynesville, collided with the rear of a stopped 2006 Sterling garbage truck, operated by 55-year-old Jason R. Thornsbury from Richland. The impact caused significant damage to the van, which was subsequently towed from the scene, while the garbage truck sustained moderate damage and was driven away from the scene.
Emergency responders arrived promptly to assist those involved. John W. Evans was found to have sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by Pulaski County Ambulance for further medical evaluation and treatment.
