Chesapeake Beach, MD (September 27, 2024) – A serious pedestrian accident occurred on Thursday morning, September 26, 2024, when a woman was struck by a vehicle on Bayside Road. At approximately 8:45 a.m., deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of the incident at the intersection of Bayside Road and Bristol Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Chloe Clagg from Chesapeake Beach suffering from life-threatening injuries. Preliminary investigations revealed that Steven O’Neill, 42, also from Chesapeake Beach, was driving southbound on Bayside Road when he struck Clagg as she attempted to cross the road into the travel lane.
Emergency medical services quickly transported Clagg to the Capital Region Shock Trauma Center, where she is currently in serious condition. Fortunately, O’Neill did not sustain any injuries in the collision.
