Hot Springs, AR (September 27, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on September 25, 2024, resulting in the death of a young man. The crash took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of US 270B (Malvern Ave) and Drexel/Nickels St.
According to preliminary reports, a 22-year-old man named Bryce Metcalf from Hot Springs was driving a 2018 Dodge Journey eastbound on Drexel Street. As he attempted to cross Malvern Avenue to Nickels Street, he failed to yield to oncoming traffic. A 2012 Honda CBR600 motorcycle, traveling westbound on US 270B, collided with the passenger rear of the Dodge Journey.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Bryce Metcalf was pronounced dead shortly after the accident. The body has been held at the Garland County Coroner’s Office for further investigation. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported during this incident.
