Mercer County, OH (September 25, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning, September 24, 2024, resulting in the death of a 49-year-old man. The crash was reported at approximately 5:03 a.m. on US Route 127, just north of Dutton Road in Dublin Township.
According to Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey, the victim, identified as Travis Fox of Mendon, was driving a Chevy van northbound on US Route 127 at the time of the incident. Preliminary investigations revealed that Fox traveled left of center and collided with an oncoming semi-truck for reasons that remain unclear.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Travis Fox was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team was called to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and the findings will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for further review.
