Lincoln, MO (September 24, 2024) – A serious traffic accident occurred on September 23 at approximately 4:00 PM at the Cuivre River Bridge on Missouri 47. The incident involved two vehicles and resulted in moderate injuries to both drivers.
According to preliminary reports, a 2008 Kia Sportage, driven by 38-year-old Anthony Dale from St. Peters, MO, was traveling eastbound when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2006 Dodge Ram, driven by 54-year-old Jeffery P. Cornelius from St. Charles, MO, who was heading westbound. The impact was significant enough to total the Dodge Ram and cause extensive damage to the Kia Sportage, both of which were towed by Priority One Towing.
Emergency responders from Lincoln County arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Both drivers sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Lincoln County Ambulance for further medical evaluation and treatment.
