Taney, MO (September 20, 2024) – A serious accident occurred on Friday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m. in Bull Creek on Highway F, resulting in significant injuries. The incident involved two vehicles, a 2008 Volkswagen EOS and a 2021 Jeep Gladiator.
According to the investigation conducted by CPL B. Hall, the driver of the Volkswagen EOS, 31-year-old Stephanie Akin from Branson, MO, crossed the center of the roadway and was struck head-on by the Jeep Gladiator, driven by 56-year-old Lloyd C. Branson, also from Branson, MO. The force of the collision resulted in both vehicles being totaled, and they were subsequently towed by Jim’s Auto Body of Forsyth.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly. Akin sustained serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO, for medical treatment. Branson, while suffering minor injuries, was taken to Cox Hospital in Branson, MO, for evaluation and care.
