Mountain, WI (September 20, 2024) – A tragic head-on collision occurred on Sunday on Highway 32, resulting in the death of a 51-year-old woman from Lake Tomahawk. The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident involved two SUVs, a Subaru and a Chevrolet.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the Chevrolet SUV crossed the center line and was traveling north in the southbound lane when it collided with the Subaru, which was carrying three individuals, including the victim. Upon arrival, deputies found the Subaru in a west ditch with extensive damage. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene before she could be transported to a hospital.
The driver of the Subaru, a 15-year-old girl, along with another passenger, a 54-year-old man, both from Lake Tomahawk, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
