Dublin, NH (September 20, 2024) – A tragic vehicle accident occurred on Perry Pasture Road in Dublin, resulting in one fatality and two serious injuries. The incident took place on Friday afternoon, September 20 prompting immediate response from local emergency services.
Preliminary reports indicate that a Chevrolet pickup truck went off the road and down an embankment into a wooded area just after a curve on Perry Pasture Road, which is situated between Routes 101 and 137. The Dublin Fire and Rescue team responded to the scene shortly after 12:30 p.m. following reports of a vehicle that had veered off the road. Initial calls indicated that the vehicle might be on fire and that there were three individuals trapped inside.
First responders from Peterborough Fire and Rescue were the first to arrive and confirmed the entrapment but found that there was no fire. They worked quickly to free the occupants from the vehicle. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to local hospitals for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. One of the injured individuals was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester, and the other was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough.
A Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team helicopter was initially requested to assist with the situation, but after assessing the injuries on-site, it was determined that air transport was not necessary.
In the aftermath of the accident, Dublin police closed Perry Pasture Road to vehicle traffic at approximately 1:30 p.m. to facilitate the investigation. Both lanes were blocked for about a quarter mile between Mossey Lane and Valley Road, causing significant delays in the area.
