Fredericksburg, VA – 2 Dead, 3 Injured in Double Crash on Rte 33

Fredericksburg, VA (September 19, 2024) – A double crash on Monday, September 16, along Rte 33 in Middlesex County left two people dead and three others injured. Virginia State Police responded to the scene just before 4 p.m. after a 2014 Kia Soul collided head-on with a 2017 Ford Transit van.

The Kia’s driver, Allan Wayne Cash, 64, crossed the center line, causing the crash. His mother, Eleanor Heath Cash, 90, died instantly, and his wife, Donna Sue Cash, 50, succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

The driver and a child passenger in the Ford Transit sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
