Rural Sharp, AR (September 18, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident on US 167 south of Evening Shade claimed one life and left four others injured. The crash occurred around 5:11 p.m. when a Toyota, traveling northbound, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound Chevrolet. Shaundra Johnson, 31, from Batesville, the driver of the Toyota, was killed.

The injured, including two minors and Emily and Colten Boyd, were taken to White River Medical Center for treatment. Authorities reported wet roads and rain at the time of the accident.
