York, PA – 7 Injured in Crash at N Sherman St & Philadelphia St

York, PA (September 18, 2024) – Seven people were injured in a crash Sunday evening, September 15 at the intersection of N Sherman St and Philadelphia St. Police report that Jaheim Alford, from South Carolina, deliberately caused the collision. He was driving a red Hyundai sedan when he ran a red light and struck a Honda Odyssey minivan.

According to authorities, Alford was angry and behaving erratically before the crash. He reportedly threatened to kill everyone in his vehicle just moments before the incident. The collision resulted in serious injuries to both Alford, his passengers, and those in the minivan, including a pregnant woman. All those injured in the crash remain hospitalized as of today. 

The investigation is ongoing.
