Lee County, FL (September 18, 2024) – A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday night, resulting in injuries to four individuals, two of whom were critically hurt. The incident took place near the 132 mile marker of I-75 Southbound in Fort Myers.
Emergency responders, including Fort Myers Fire, South Trail Fire, Lehigh Acres Fire, and Lee County EMS, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:24 PM. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle that had rolled over into the treeline, prompting an urgent response to assist those involved.
Four people were transported to local hospitals for medical evaluation and treatment. Among them, an adult and a child suffered serious injuries that met the criteria for “Trauma Alert.” Both were taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center for specialized care.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
