Wilmington, IL (September 16, 2024) – Clay E. Russell, a 61-year-old Lincoln resident, died in a crash on I-55 early Sunday morning. The accident occurred at mile marker 238.5 while Russell was driving southbound.
He was pronounced dead at 5:15 a.m., according to Will County Coroner Laurie H. Summers. The Illinois State Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
