San Antonio, TX (September 15, 2024) – A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck on I-37 southbound near SE Military Dr on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. when a Ford Explorer hit the pedestrian attempting to cross the interstate. According to the driver, the pedestrian tried to run in front of another car before the collision.

Emergency responders rushed the injured pedestrian to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have since reopened the interstate.
