Lincoln, NE (September 13, 2024) – A 32-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck by a car near downtown Lincoln on Thursday morning, September 12. The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. at the intersection of 1st St and O St, when the woman darted across the road outside of a crosswalk.

A westbound Ford Fusion struck her, and witnesses said four vehicles had passed before the crash. The woman sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Authorities believe alcohol was involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
